The Altstadt car park in Lucerne had to be renovated and expanded in 2009. The concrete elements on the existing building were removed from the building façade and replaced with white, stove-enamelled panels containing metal pigments. The white metal panels shine during the day, whilst the light penetrating these panels illuminates at night. New lifts, generously dimensioned glazing on the ground floor and the uniform white interior give the car park a bright and clear structure and also create a comfortable sense of space.
